Daniel Fast 2011

Happy New Year everyone!  I pray this will be your best year ever in 2011!

I AM TAKING THE TIME TO SEND YOU OUT A DETAILED LETTER SO PLEASE READ THIS! A New Year is always a great time for change and new vision.  As you reassess the last year was there anything left undone?  Anything you wished you would have changed?  Remember these three things:
1.     Failure to prepare is preparing to fail.
2.     The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.
3.     You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.

Is there something you need God to do in your life that seems way beyond your ability to accomplish?  Do you need a breakthrough spiritually, financially, emotionally or physically?

I would like to invite you to fast with us this January!  “Entering into a time of prayer and fasting is like crossing a threshold into a new place. A 21-day fast positions you to experience the presence of God in your daily and hourly life. A fast means your worship isn't just in the Sunday morning pew, but in the living room of your home.”

Fast starts January 10th till January 31st 2011

Our church will fast at the beginning of 2011 so we can give the first part of the year to God.  We like to do a 21 day Daniel Fast.   So, before you get scared and think you cannot do it, just read on.
Before I explain I would like to recommend a couple of books with their link to Amazon included on the subject first is:

1.     Fasting: Opening the door to a deeper, more intimate, more powerful relationship with God JENTEZEN FRANKLIN  http://www.amazon.com/Fasting-Opening-intimate-powerful-relationship/dp/1599792583/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1293887679&sr=8-1

Daniel Fast Food List by Susan Gregory http://www.daniel-fast.com/

She has provided books and cookbooks and all kind of great stuff to assist you in your fast. http://danielfast.wordpress.com/daniel-fast-food-list/

“In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” Daniel 10:2, 3

One of the great things about the Daniel Fast is that you are not limited to any specific amount of food, but rather to the kinds of food you can eat. The Daniel Fast is limited to vegetables (includes fruits) and water.

If you want a print out of this list in brochure form to use yourself or share with others, please visit www.Daniel-Fast.com

Special Note: if you have health issues, please be sure to contact your health professional for advice before committing to any fast including the Daniel Fast. If you would like a list of the foods included and excluded in the Daniel Fast to show your doctor, just copy the contents of this page. Also, if you are interested in a collection of recipes that will take you through an entire 21-day Daniel fast, www.danielfast.com

After answering hundreds of questions about the Daniel Fast, I am updating the food guidelines. My hope is that it will serve as a more complete list. The original list used by many people was issued in a book about fasting. I know the author tried to do the best he could, but that isn’t the same as getting hundreds of questions seeking clarification. So here is the new list that I hope helps.
